Making Beignets is Easy
A beignet is a small French donut, coated in powdered sugar and is usually eaten in the morning. This recipe is a yeast risen dough rather than a baking powder dough like a biscuit. This recipe is much slower but more traditional than the quick rise method of making beignets.
Scientists Fear for the Future
Six years ago, several scientists were interviewed about their future living arrangements for the future. They are all making plans to move more towards the poles and away from the equator. One has a family home in England, which is predicted to become colder if the Atlantic ocean current shuts down. Another is planning on moving to Tasmania, which is south of Australia. They advocate that people plan on moving poleward when the climate gets hotter.
Growing a Vegetable Garden in the Backyard
We like growing a vegetable garden, even if it is only a small one in the backyard. Eventually, we will have a much larger garden when we retire to a large plot of land. We plan to have a large veggie garden, an herb garden, a flower garden, and a small orchard. But for right now, all we have room for is a small veggie garden in the backyard.

Playing Around With Stable Diffusion
I enjoy generating art with Artificial Intelligence tools like Stable Diffusion. Stable Diffusion is a machine learning library trained on millions of images, photos, and artwork. The images are tagged with descriptive text that the model uses to take user prompts and generate new images. There is an example python notebook that uses Stable Diffusion from user generated prompts and converts them into images.

The AARP Bulletin, June 2022, contains a very handy guide to identifying and handling phone scam attempts. They list 7 recent phone scams they have come across. I’m including the quoted phone pitch as well as an explanation as how you can identify it as a scam.
